Contraindications and precautions
1.Do not use if you had an allergic reaction to this medication or its components.
2.Perform HLA-B*5701 testing prior to initiation of Abacavir to reduce the risk of severe hypersensitivity reaction.
3.Use is contraindicated in patients who test positive for HLA-B*5701.

2.hematologic effects e.g. agranulocytosis
3.hepatic effects e.g. hepatitis, or steatosis of liver
