Contraindications and precautions

How to use accuhaler.
1.Hold the accuhaler with one hand and place thumb of other on the thumb grip. Open the accuhaler by pushing the thumb grip around until it clicks.
2.Keep device horizontal while sliding lever until it clicks.
3.Breathe out gently away from the mouthpiece. Do not breathe into the accuhaler.
4.Place mouth over the mouthpiece and breathe in deeply and steadily through your mouth.
5.Remove the accuhaler from your mouth.
6.Hold your breath for 10 seconds then breathe out gently.
7.Close the accuhaler by placing thumb in the thumb grip and sliding it back around until the cover clicks back into place.
8.Rinse your mouth with water and spit after inhaling the last dose to reduce the risk of side effects such as hoarseness and oral candidiasis.
Additional advice
- If the patient has phlegm, the patient should clear the phlegm before using accuhaler.
- Keep the accuhaler closed when it is not being used. Slide lever when you want to use accuhaler only.
- Avoid getting your accuhaler wet. Use the clean clothes or toilet papers to clean it, and keep it in a dry place.
- Once the counter on top of device shows “0”, your accuhaler is empty. Click to listen highlighted text!
