Contraindications and precautions
- Do not use if you had an allergic reaction to Silver Sulfadiazine or any component of the product.
- Do not use in pregnant women because it may cause kernicterus in newborn infants.
- Do not use in premature infants or newborn infants below 2 months of age.
- Use this medication cautiously in patients with a history of clinically significant hypersensitivity to sulfonamide-derived drugs because cross-sensitivity with other sulfonamides may occur.
- Use this medication cautiously in patients with G6PD deficiency because hemolysis may occur.
