Tenofovir alafenamide (TAF) 25 mg (TAFNAT)
Indication
TAFNAT is indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis B in adults and adolescents (aged 12 years and older with body weight at least 35 kg). Click to listen highlighted text! Contraindications and precautions
1.Do not use in the patients with a history of hypersensitivity to the active substance or to any of the excipients.
2.Do not use in pregnant women and lactating women.
3.Use this medication cautiously in patients with renal impairment.
4.Do not use in the patients with a history of hypersensitivity to Lactose.
5.There are many drugs that may interact with TAFNAT such as antiviral drugs, antimycobacterials, antifungal drugs, anticonvulsants. You should take counsel with physicians or pharmacists prior to taking this medication. Click to listen highlighted text! Recommendations of drug use
1.Take 1 tablet daily with meal.
2.In case of missed dose:
2.1 If a dose is missed and less than 18 hours have passed from the time it is usually taken, the patient should take TAFNAT as soon as possible and then resume their normal dosing schedule.
2.2 If more than 18 hours have passed from the time it is usually taken, the patient should not take the missed dose and should simply resume the normal dosing schedule.
3.In case of vomiting:
3.1 If the patient vomits within 1 hour of taking TAFNAT, the patient should take another tablet.
3.2 If the patient vomits more than 1 hour after taking TAFNAT, the patient does not need to take another tablet. Click to listen highlighted text!
